This song comes from a long time ago. When I listen to it now it almost feels like it’s from a different person. And it shows the journey a lot of the songs on this record have come on. I’ve always had this more intimate, sincere side to my song writing but it never felt right playing at indie rock shows. They are more listening songs and that’s what this album has been about - really leaning into the listening aspect and creating a world. Production not designed for the indie rock DF. The production for this definitely references Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Tame Impala and Tobias Jesso Jnr.
